- Srila Guru
Maharaj each year hosted the 'Visva Vaisnava Raja Sabha' and we
are also continuing that.
- At that time
in the Visva Vaisnava Raja Sabha the devotees always gave Srila
Guru Maharaj the presidential chair, but he in turn gave that
chair to Sripad A. B. Bhakti Saranga Goswami Maharaj.
- At one of
these meetings held in a tarpaulin tent held up with bamboo, Sripad
Goswami Maharaj in his presidential address said, We are preaching
widely but we depend on the happiness and recognition of Srila
Sridhar Maharaj. We are going on with our preaching but, like
a lion, from time to time we look back to see if Srila Sridhar
Maharaj is giving his recognition and is accepting our preaching.
- Sri Chaitanya
Saraswat Math has grown so fast within a few years. Recently
we've given our preaching attention to the Indian section too.
Our devotees are preaching village to village, especially in Bengal.
We have therefore received a big response, bigger than ever before,
therefore I am making additional buildings to serve them properly.
- Earlier this
Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math was one acre in area and it was mainly
gardens. But now there are so many buildings.
- Giriraj came
here with Srila Guru Maharaj. This area is also called Gupta-Govarddhan
-- hidden Govarddhan Giriraj. Its name is also Koladwip. This
is the place of Varahadev.
- First was
Giriraj, then came Mahaprabhu, then Radha Govinda and also Varahadev
with Laksmidevi. After that all the devotees joined.
- By Govardhan
is Govinda Kunda which is our pilgrimage place because Madhavendra
Puripad got Sri Gopal in the cave of Govardhan Hill by Govinda
Kunda. That Giridhari Gopal is now in Natadvara with the name
of 'Srinathji' given from another sampradaya. 'Sri'
means Laksmi, and her husband is Narayan, but in His Form of as
Giridhari Gopal.
- Srimad-Bhagavatam
expressed the glories of Krishna in different ways -- Vishnu,
Narayan, etc. -- but finally His position is Krishna is known
by everyone.
- From South
India Mahaprabhu Himself brought Brahma-samhita. Given there is
a description within a few slokas as a summary of Vaikuntha, Goloka,
Paravyoma, Brahmaloka, the whole. Only in Brahma-samhita is found
this kind of summary of the whole. From the first sloka we understand
that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead and His Name
is Govinda.
- This first
sloka is so famous. Everywhere in the Scriptures we get support
of this sloka, especially in Srimad-Bhagavatam and Srimad Bhagavad-gita.
- The speciality
of Srimad Bhagavad-gita is that it gives guidelines for everyone
in a very simple way.
- When Srimad-Bhagavatam
appeared, Pariksit Maharaj was in a serious position with only
seven days to live. He asked which way he will get the super-benefit
of life. He asked to Srila Sukhadev Goswami after first having
asked to all the dignitary sadhus in that assembly.
- I went to
that place so long ago, Naimisharanya.
- Question:
Did our particular Sampradaya start when Lord Brahma surrendered
to Govinda?
- No. Actually
it is 'anadi.' Brahma is our Guru because he had much facility
in the starting of this creation, but, before also, Brahma was
Guru. This world creation is carried out by Brahma, but the creator
of the whole is Maha-Vishnu, Sankarshan. It is called manifestation,
not creation.
